I’m Clyde Anderson, former CNN Business and Money Analyst. During my career in the media, I learned the importance of telling stories including my own to be recognized as the AUTHORity in my field. I started my career in the mortgage business, where I learned the value of a strong financial foundation, and how to empower others to build and rebuild their financial health. I wrote my first best-selling book, “What Had Happened Was”, while still a mortgage lender in Florida. After relocating to Atlanta where I graduated college at Clark Atlanta University with a degree in business, my book helped land a spot on the CNN Weekend Newsroom where I appeared over 400 times over an 8 year span.
I’m passionate about solving problems, filling needs and overcome obstacles to thrive. Throughout my years as a business coach and consultant, I’ve helped small business owners secure over $5 million dollars in funding to start and grow their visions. I’ve spoken for Fortune 500 companies, national non-profits, CBS, CNN, ESPN, NFL, New York Life, Radio One, NAACP, National Urban League, Black MBA, 100 Black Men, HBCUs and division one colleges. Former President Jimmy Carter even introduced me as keynote speaker at his annual Boys and Girls Club event in his hometown of Americus, Georgia.
In my second book, “FundaMENTAL W.E.A.L.T.H. Principles: Creating a Mindset for Financial Success”, explores the concept of changing mindsets to help people overcome the challenges they face and improve their financial lives.
For the last ten years, I've been committed to helping professionals, entrepreneurs, experts, specialists, creatives, or just people with amazing stories to tell and lessons to share that can assist others. After turning a simple book into a career and realized the importance of becoming an author, branding yourself as the Authority, marketing your message to your audience.
I live my life by this simple principle, yesterday is a canceled check, tomorrow is a promissory note and today is the only cash we have… spend it wisely.
Discovering Your W.E.A.L.T.H
I define W.E.A.L.T.H. as the Wisdom to Establish Assets and Leverage the Harvest. To do this I work with my clients to identify the best place to start and a strategy to accomplish their AUTHORity goals. In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell, citing the work of Anders Ericsson, popularized the 10,000-hour rule, which states that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert in a given field. Gladwell writes: “Ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness.” This means that most of us are experts, but have chosen not to exercise our AUTHORity.
How I can help you…
